Portfolio Building

Is not something that you can do with your smartphone camera and some Instagram filters: it's something that requires time to build and expertise in how to direct you in posing. Not that a well-trained eye cannot do a nice job with the modern smartphone cameras, but there's more than a nice bokeh and a good look that occur to build up a proper portfolio!

A few days ago I've meet Otto , a London based music player that was in need to add new photos to his portfolio. As a rocker, I've preferred to use an urban location, with as many concrete and grey building as possible, and letting the light and the composition doing the hard job, while I was directing and talking with Otto. I've had a very nice afternoon shooting with him and to his next concert, I'm sure to go there and take some "on field" photos with the right and live played "soundtrack" .
